Are you looking to be part of something different in 2015? Why not come along to some free short story workshops that I am facilitating as part of Dorset Writers Network.
Dorset Writers Network has embarked on a year-long project, DORSET’S DIGITAL STORIES, funded by Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts and Dorset Community Foundation.
From January 12th to February 14th twelve creative writing workshops for adults will take place in rural communities across the county to kick-start our first e-book anthology.
Leave behind the old year and let your imagination fly in a creative kickstart to 2015. Join the fun of writing a short story set in Dorset. Anyone who enjoys writing or would like to learn to write short fiction can come along and join in. We’ll try some fun exercises to get those creative juices flowing and develop your ideas into a short story that you can polish and hone and enter into the competition.
My first workshop takes place at Sturminster Marshall Village Hall on Friday January 16th from 2.00-4.00pm
If you can’t make that one how about Horton & Chalbury Village Hall on Wednesday 21st January, 7.00-9.00pm.
Finally, The Hub, Verwood Wednesday 4th February, 7.00-9.00pm.
There are other dates and venues all over Dorset and you can find out more by going to the Dorset Writers network newly revamped website at www.dorsetwritersnetwork.co.uk
To join in creating a short story of 500 words, contact sue@dorsetwritersnetwork.co.uk.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
