Words for the Wounded

I never fail to be moved by the parading veterans on Armistice Day. I think of what they have seen but more importantly who they have lost. All those brave men and women who have given their lives for their country who were once their friends and colleagues. Does it move you too? Does it inspire you to put those feelings into words? Or has something else inspired you today?

Winchester2013 018Why not enter this year’s Words for the Wounded Writing Competition – only 500 words and money raised goes to supporting  service personnel who have been wounded in action. The rehabilitation process can be long and grueling and these men and women need our support. It’s a great way to have fun, get some writing experience and help others too. There are some great writing hints and tips over on the blog at www.wordsforthewounded.blogspot.co.uk. The latest tips are  from Santa Montefiore . Why not go over and check them out now.

And don’t forget to enter the competition!
